Maxell’s 183906 is a LTO 4 Ultrium tape cartridge. It has a tape length of 820m which enables a native data storage capacity of 800GB that can be expanded up to 1.6 TB when compressed. Maxell 183906 LTO 4 Ultrium Tape features the use of an Advanced Ultra-fine Ceramic Armour Metal Particles to achieve a larger storage capacity and a dual binder system that enhances the tape’s durability.

The Maxell 183906 also has new features previously unavailable in LTO tapes like 256-bit encryption. Also, the magnetic tape layer in the Maxell 183906 tape is protected by new ultra-fine ceramic armored particle which ensures that your data is stored reliably. Maxell 183906 LTO 4 exhibits a new cartridge design by Maxell that has greater endurance and durability thus providing better protection to your valuable data from shocks, bumps, etc from day-to-day handling as well as shipping. And like all other LTO tape cartridges, the Maxell183906 also features an LTO-CM chip that stores cartridge usage data and can be read using an LTO-CM reader.
