HP C7978A cleaning Tape is a LTO format cleaning tape cartridge. It offers 15 cleanings with HP StorageWorks / Surestore tape drives and 50 cleanings when used with HP Surestore E and HP StorageWorks ESL libraries.
HP C7978A cleaning Tape is an Ultrium universal cleaning cartridge for absolute compatibility with all Ultrium tape drives and libraries.
However it must be noted that this compatibility is only applicable to tape drives and auto-loaders that have been manufactured after January 2002.
